Merdeka // Thank you
Happy 64th Merdeka to my fellow Malaysians!
Long sharing. If you can read.
Had the biggest surprise few days when a music review website send me an article of my music but of all albums that they reviewed, it was my very first album, which was released in 2009. Not sure why or how it happened because honestly, I wanted them to review the EP (that was released few months ago) instead though.
Here it goes :- https://openmusicreviews.com/2021/08/26/tim-lim/
Simple but humbled by it. Nice of them to say the songs sound like bands such as Switchfoot and Delirious, which honestly inspired me greatly.
The article reminded me of the perseverance that I've put in and believing that someday, somehow it will eventually work out. I honestly lost count of how many times that I struggle with confidence on this music thing to a point that I feel like giving up. Even yesterday, I was wrestling with these thoughts/doubts.
Anyway, I just wanna say 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 everyone out there for your support over the years. Especially when I think back what happened 12 years ago, in the album launch, in KL and Ipoh. It's you all who made this possible and till today, the songs are still resounding.
Humbled and truly grateful to God, and to all of you.
I don't know what else will happen in days to come, but as long there's music and life, I'll do my best as much as I can.
Cheers.
So I guess it's timely since this album release's anniversary is happening in 2 weeks time. So yea, come join the fun at :- thisroadanniversary.peatix.com
